NYSERDA offers incentives that are applicable for solar electricity and can help alleviate the cost of constructing a system. New York is also an especially effective area to build a solar system because of the high cost of electricity from utility companies and plenty of available sunshine. New York enjoys a number of compelling incentives for homes looking to install solar panels to meet their power needs. These important incentives are listed to the right.

Each state offers different incentives. By visiting http://www.dsireusa.org you can learn more about what is offered specifically on a state-by-state basis.
